RNLI Lifeboat stations
With the Pembrokeshire coast being an integral part of the county character and history, discovering the stories linked to the RNLI and its role in saving lives at sea make for a fascinating holiday activity. With 2018 being the “Year of the Sea” there are many events taking place to celebrate the heroism of this volunteer organisation. The Lifeboat stations themselves are an interesting feature of the coastline – often located in the most dramatic of places for easy access to the potential trouble spots of reefs, rocks and currents, some are architectural icons that form the backdrop to many visitor photographs.
Tenby is well endowed with three examples, the early incarnations well preserved and easily accessed for that photo opportunity!
See if you can find them all!
